Data released by the ABS shows the highest median ages in 2018 were popular retirement areas along the coast, including:

Point Lonsdale – Queenscliff (58.8 years)

Portarlington (58.1)

Paynesville (58.6)

Orbost (54.5)

Lakes Entrance (53.8)
