Kaniva, a town of around 800 people (47.1% male, 52.9% female and a median age of 49….ABS) is over 400 kilometres north-west of Melbourne,
To the north of Kaniva is the Big Desert Wilderness Park whilst to the south is the Little Desert.

And very close by is The Windmill which ‘signifies the abundant underground water which is the life-blood of Kaniva and it’s diverse farming district. The underground water also supports lush expanses of lawn, extensive flower beds, and tree growth throughout the town, laying claim to Kaniva’s title as Victoria’s Garden of Eden’.
